A Bronx native and third-generation New Yorker, Kimberly is a cultural organizer, creative philanthropist, and community arts advocate dedicated to fostering the creative spirit of New York City.

Her work centers on a simple belief: art, culture, and creative expression should be accessible to everyone. Inspired by New York's rich cultural history and its tradition of bringing people together through the arts, Kimberly creates opportunities for people to experience the city, explore their creativity, and connect with one another.

She is the founder of the 1 or the 9, a self-funded creative wellness project and community partner of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Through free, distraction-free gatherings, the project invites New Yorkers of all ages, backgrounds, and creative abilities to engage with art, culture, and one another.

Spanning artist-led workshops, photography walks, movement experiences, cultural excursions, and intimate conversations, the 1 or the 9 treats gathering as a creative practice. Each experience is thoughtfully designed to encourage curiosity, participation, and meaningful human connection while supporting the work of local artists and cultural institutions.

Kimberly's approach to philanthropy is rooted in the belief that generosity extends beyond financial giving. Through her independent practice, she contributes her time, resources, creativity, and relationships to make cultural experiences freely accessible to her community.
